We are committed to providing expert-led, culturally sensitive services that promote healing, growth, and resilience within the Pasifika community of New Zealand.
Weave Family Solutions Ltd (WFS) was founded by Genevieve Claire Marie Sang-Yum, a passionate advocate for the Pasifika community with a strong background in social work and family violence prevention. Inspired by her Samoan heritage and the values of love, respect, humility, and honour, Genevieve established WFS to address the unique challenges faced by Pasifika individuals and families in New Zealand.
Genevieve’s journey in the field of social work began with a Certificate in Community Skills, followed by a Bachelor of Social Work. Her dedication to continuous learning led her to pursue a Level 4 Certificate in Adult Teaching and Facilitation, a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work Supervision, and she is currently completing her Master of Social Work degree. These qualifications, along with her extensive experience in facilitating Adult Safety Programmes in Family Violence, have equipped Genevieve with the knowledge and skills to provide exceptional support to the Pasifika community.

Our family violence facilitation service is designed to support both victims and abusers of family violence within the Pasifika community. For victims, the programme focuses on healing, empowerment, and safety planning. For perpetrators, it addresses accountability, responsibility, and strategies for non-violent behaviour.
Both programmes are culturally sensitive and aim to promote positive change and break the cycle of family violence.
